Ann Turkel, who was wed to Richard Harris for eight years before he divorced her twenty years ago, is still trying to come to terms with the loss of Richard Harris. Turkel, who was raised in Manhattan and comes from a Jewish middle-class family, studied at both the Neighborhood Playhouse as well as the American Musical and Dramatic Academy by the time she turned 16. In just a couple of weeks and a half, the editor-in-chief Diana Vreeland commissioned Ann to shoot her first Vogue Cover featuring photographer Richard Avedon. Ann was among the United States' most popular models, appearing on the covers of top magazines such as Vogue Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and many other magazines. Ann was a model who had success throughout Europe, Japan and other global markets for 2 months. Ann was the face of cosmetics giants like Max Factor Revlon or Chanel.
